Who I can Help
While I have experience treating many types of health conditions, I do my best work in the areas of digestive and adrenal/hormonal health.
I work with those who suffer from:
- Digestive symptoms like bloating/gas, constipation/diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain but don’t have a diagnosis (though you’ve seen a doctor about it)
- Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)
- Dysbiosis or microbial imbalance (overgrowth of “bad” bacteria and not enough good bacteria)
- Celiac and gluten intolerance
- FODMAP intolerance
- Food sensitivity
Note: Your gut bacteria have an impact on almost all other body systems, and you don’t necessarily need to have digestive problems to have imbalanced gut bacteria. If I think you might have gut infections that are playing a role in your condition, we’ll do comprehensive testing to find out.
The HPA axis is the control center for all of our stress reactions, and its functionality affects almost every facet of our being. Those with “adrenal fatigue” (more scientifically called “HPA axis dysregulation”) or hormonal problems may experience the following symptoms that respond well to holistic diet and lifestyle change:
- Utter exhaustion, especially compared to previous energy levels
- Problems sleeping (insomnia, multiple wake-ups during the night)
- Feeling stressed out or unable to cope with stressful situations
- Brain fog or difficulty concentrating
- Difficulty exercising (i.e. exercise intolerance)
- Increased allergies
- Multiple infections (colds, viruses, digestive infections, staph, etc)
- Blood sugar imbalance (often low blood sugar)
- Low blood pressure (feeling dizzy when standing from a seated position is a common indicator of this)
- Amenorrhea (lack of a regular period)
Note: I am happy to work with those who have already completed (or are in the midst of completing) my Paleo Rehab: Adrenal Fatigue course. In fact, it is a GREAT addition to our work together!
How It Works
I work with my clients for a minimum of 3 months. This is because most illnesses do not develop overnight, so it can take months of work to unravel the disease process. Patience is key.
We will work intensively during that time, meeting every 2-3 weeks to make sure you’re consistently giving your body the right signals, allowing it to heal.
As the first step in our work together, you’ll fill out my comprehensive intake form (plan on taking a few hours to fill it out — I’m not kidding when I say it’s comprehensive). This goes over your current diet, lifestyle, supplements, as well as your full health history.
Once you’ve completed the intake form, we’ll meet for our first 75-minute initial consult. This is the longest appointment you’ll have, and we’ll spend it going over the intake form. I like to hear your story two ways – first in the written form (the intake form) as well as verbally during this first session. In both forms, I pick up on different clues that help me hone in on the things we need to work on.
During this first session, we will come up with a few goals for you to start with. This is entirely dependent on your personal case — no two people are the same. While for one person diet might be the first thing that needs to change, another person might need to focus on stress; it totally depends, and that’s exactly what we’ll work together on to identify.
We’ll also discuss any additional testing that you might need to help uncover root causes. These might include gut testing (like a breath test for SIBO or a stool test for dysbiosis), hormonal testing (like the DUTCH test), metabolic testing, and more. Some of this you may be able to get through your primary care physician, but some of it is specialized functional medicine testing that you can order through me. Please note that my services and specialized testing are not covered by insurance and are out-of-pocket costs.
After this first session, you’ll receive a packet of information including some homework for you to do, a list of your goals, and any additional information that you might need to help you in achieving those goals.
From there, we will meet every 2-3 weeks for a 30-minute follow-up to check in on your progress, identify other areas that need to be worked on, make new goals, discuss new lab results, and help you through any roadblocks you might be facing. I’m here with you every step of the way.
Between sessions, you’ll always have access to me via email for any questions that come up. If it’s a complex question that deserves time in a follow-up appointment, I’ll let you know.
What you should know about working with me is that this is a joint effort. We will work together to decipher your symptoms, identify root causes, and come up with a game plan to get you healthy. But at the end of the day, it is you who needs to put in consistent effort to heal your body — I can’t do this without you. Because of this, it is important that you are at a place in your life where you can really commit to the process.
If you’re looking for a different kind of healing experience, you’re in the right place. You’re ready for more than just a prescription; you’re ready to take a look at your whole self and heal your body from the inside out. I’m here to walk with you through this journey.

How much does it cost to work with you?
My 3-month package is $1197, not including any lab testing that needs to be done. This includes an initial 75-minute consult, plus 5 30-minute follow-up sessions, as well as email access to me throughout your 3 months for any questions you might have.
Do you accept insurance?
No, I do not work with insurance plans.
What if I can’t afford this?
If my packages will mean you don’t have money for food or other basic necessities, please, do not sign up with me. I do not want to add any undue stress to your life.
However, if it something you can afford if you adjust some of your priorities, I strongly recommend you think about doing so. Your health means so much more than a new outfit or an expensive dinner…this is something you’ll have for the rest of your life if you take care of yourself.
I’ve worked with clients who have gone from feeling awful to having their life back and to them, that is priceless.
If my packages are out of your budget, though, I have two online courses that can help you work through your health issues. My Paleo Rehab: Adrenal Fatigue program and the Build Your Biome course both walk you through a very similar process I use with my one-on-one clients to help determine what underlying causes you’re dealing with and help you feel better fast.
Is this really going to work for me?
As with anything when it comes to the human body, there are no guarantees. However, I’ve been working with clients with complex health issues for years and I’ve gotten really good at figuring out what’s going on and healing it from the inside out. I REALLY want you to feel better, and I want to SUPPORT you through the process of getting there.
Will I lose weight?
I am not a weight-loss dietitian, and I also don’t think there’s an “ideal” way that everyone should look. While I don’t focus on weight-loss, I do understand that some may need to lose weight for health reasons (which I take into consideration when making your dietary recommendations). A lot of my clients actually need to GAIN weight, though, and we’ll definitely put in work to get you up to a healthy body weight if that’s something that needs to happen.
What are your coaching hours?
I work with clients on Wednesdays from 12pm ET – 6pm ET.
I’m not located in the US. Can I still work with you?
I’ll be honest and say that I get the best results with those living in the US. This is because they’re able to get the testing I need easily and have access to all the same supplements I do. That said, if you’re international, I will work with you but I just want you to be aware of this upfront!
Are there costs outside of the package cost that I should be aware of?
Yes — you’ll likely need to purchase supplements I recommend (which can vary in cost, of course) and you may potentially need additional testing at some point during our work together. The most common additional testing includes standard labwork like Vitamin D level, a thyroid panel, or other things that should typically be covered by your insurance plan through your regular doctor. You may also need a SIBO testing, stool testing, or adrenal testing, which cost ~$200 to ~$400 each.
I will work with you to figure out what tests make the most sense for you given your budget. I will never recommend testing just for the sake of testing; everything I recommend will actually change how we deal with your health conditions.
“A life-changing experience.”
Kelsey has helped me navigate through this very complicated issue with her expert-level knowledge. With her help, I am managing this condition with minimal discomfort… a major change from feeling sick and nauseous every day. It is worth every penny to get Kelsey’s help!
“Seriously, Second to None!”
I have been dealing with hypoglycemia for quite a long time now (since I was about 11 and am now 30). I have worked with other dietitians in the past, with no great results (one of them still was recommending grains and such, the other’s plan was entirely too rigid (this opinion is coming from a paleo eater). I came across Kelsey when reading from Dr. Chris Kresser’s blog. He recommends Kelsey as a dietician (as do I). From the initial consultation you can tell: she takes what she does seriously, she does a ton research and she really cares for her patients. I decided to work with her for a month. Before I go on, let me say this: my blood sugar had been going haywire for a few months. I was trying so many different things but nothing really worked. I’ve been eating paleo for quite a while so there weren’t any drastic changes (I had been through those a long time ago when I originally went paleo). Kelsey helped me to fine tune and dial-in what things were working for me and what weren’t (even aside from food, i.e. stress, sleep, etc.). Side note: it’s important to use a meal tracker so she can see what’s going on. She added some more foods that I originally strayed from. She is so full of knowledge and understanding of how the body reacts to foods. I’m so stoked to say that sticking with her recommendations I’ve had no hypoglycemia problems. I plan to do check-in sessions every 3 months or so. Thanks again Kelsey 🙂
“Working Our Way Through the Maze”
Kelsey provided essential guidance from start to finish. From which tests to order, how to interpret them and how to proceed. Her commitment to ongoing research, her understanding of an individual’s unique needs regardless of any prevailing dogma and follow through make her an invaluable ally in reaching one’s health goals.
I really benefited from working with Kelsey for about a month, or five sessions. Having complex chronic health issues is so confusing, especially when you are getting advice from all directions about millions of different things. In terms of diet, Kelsey really helped simplify it for me, and gave me an abundance (but not too many!) resources to move forward. So much is contingent on your own actions, and since our sessions I have fallen off the diet and gotten back on more than once. The great thing is I know what to do, I know how to start again, and I can still get follow up help from Kelsey if I need it via email or by booking another appointment.
“Life Saving Experience”
After dealing with IBS and severe GERD for years and at times reaching levels of severe despair, I now have hope. After working with Kelsey for 4 weeks, my symptoms have markedly decreased and I have an organized plan on what to eat and when to try new things. I feel this has been an answer to my prayers. I plan to continue working with Kelsey to maximize the healing of my gut.
Kelsey has been very helpful in helping me recover from adrenal fatigue, and digestive problems. I strongly recommend her services for anyone with complex health issues that are not fixed with paleo diet alone. Personally, I found that researching my health issues on my own was helpful, but not nearly as effective as talking to an expert with hundreds/thousands of hours of clinical experience.
I’m pretty knowledgeable about diet and nutrition, but Kelsey was able to walk me through some self-experimentation and helped me to improve some lingering and persistent issues I was dealing with. She was knowledgeable and friendly and I’m sure I’ll work with her again in the future if I get “stuck” again.
“More Than Just (more) Diet Advice”
Kelsey understands more than just just diet planning. She understands all the lifestyle components that work together to make any new nutrition plan successful. I signed up for extra sessions, and maybe you should too.
Kelsey is knowledgeable and always upbeat. She works with you to find a personalized solution that allows you to meet your needs. Her advice is always tailored and helpful. She encourages experimentation to find out what does and doesn’t work. I highly recommend her.
My hypoglycemic episodes are MUCH less frequent, even though I’m eating more carbs than before. I haven’t had any hypoglycemia in the last few days.
“Good Re-Set and Re-Direct”
I came to Kelsey because I had been eating a GAPS then Paleo diet for about 8 months. I was feeling much better stomach wise and energy wise, but I had gained weight and couldn’t understand why that was happening. Kelsey helped me to figure out that I may have gone TOO low carb. She helped me to add healthy carbs into my meals. She also helped me to figure out what supplements I should continue to take to support my gut health now that I was in the clear, but wanted to maintain a healthy gut. I had a very clear idea of what I wanted to work on from the beginning, and Kelsey was flexible and able to focus on the things that were important to me, rather than trying to fit me into a cookie-cutter program. She is incredibly knowledgeable and I would recommend her services highly!
“Pleasure Working with Kelsey”
I found Kelsey through Chris Kresser’s website and after reading her credentials I decided to start the four session program with her. Kelsey was great to work with; she took a thorough inventory of my current health issues and lifestyle; from there she tailored a program that targeted my issues. Each session we would review my progress and Kelsey made the necessary tweeks. In those four sessions I was able to resolve nearly all of my issues that I had been struggling with. I can’t recommend her more highly.
Kelsey was a delight with which to work. She was an excellent guide and counsel on my nutritional journey through various approaches. She is well-researched, supportive, insightful and calm. She focused on helping me learn how to be healthy for myself.
“Knowledgable and Great Personality”
I really enjoyed working with Kelsey. She was able to help me organize all of the overwhelming information I had sought out in an effort to deal with my IBS and fibro. She listens, encourages, and offers solid solutions based on evidence. She has been instrumental in my healing process. Thank you Kelsey!
I have been in an autoimmune elimination diet for 30 days that’s been pretty strict. Speaking with Kelsey made me feel supported and on the right track, she also helped me recognize some trail markers so that it’s less ambiguous when I can start reintroducing foods again. If I have any uncertainty or doubt I know I’ll call her to follow up.
“Kelsey is very professional and kind”
I got a lot of helpful tips and some good advice. I hope that in time, they would help me turn around the state I’m in. Thanks Kelsey.
